Wedding Trends: 2019

We’re already a little over 2 months into 2019 and we’re loving seeing continuing and new trends pop up! Here’s my thoughts on what we’ll see this year:

• Color is coming back! We have done the neutral thing for a while & I am noticing people are gravitating towards color. Tropical inspiration and colors will be be big in home decor and we will see that trend come over to weddings as well. I think we will see people move away from mostly neutrals in the color scheme and use them more as a backbone to highlight and feature more color in the event. We are seeing clients use a signature pattern or design more rather than a monogram on everything(although I don’t think you can go wrong with a classic monogram!). This is just a new twist which is fun to play with.

• Guest experience is taking center stage. As we saw in 2018, people are wanting a full experience for their guests. They are wanting to wow with their food and cocktail experience with using locally sourced items, or food that is indicative to their wedding location/region as well as well paired wine & cocktails to compliment the food and show the couple’s personality. Couples are wanting to showcase their story, their favorites, their customs and cultures more than ever into each and every detail which makes planning so fun

• Here to stay: Weddings will always have some similar elements: first dances, dinners, cake cutting, send off. It is really about making all of those elements reflect you and your fiance. I think the epitome of classic & stylish is a fantastic car to leave in. I think beautifully designed paper will always be timeless and classic. No one ever tires of grand and beautiful wedding cake either!
